I found out today that I had passed a further 3 exams that I recently sat through the Chartered Insurance Institute, the main qualifications body for financial advisers. The exams passed were as follows:
CF2 - Investment and Risk
CF6 - Mortgage Advice
CF9 - Pensions Simplification
I intend to finalise becoming a Chartered Financial Planner by the end of 2007, in order to demonstrate my professional standing.
This title was only introduced in 2006 and is intended to be the premier title for the professional financial advice sector. There are currently only approximately 800 Chartered Financial Planners in the country (source: Chartered Insurance Institute).
